My heart is happy when I see homes that have been transformed as 280 Hopi has. I first saw this home when it was for sale in 2012 (check out the BEFORE pictures http://www.IRESis.com/cwa/
This house provides a great set up for a family, an extended family or one with a live-in nanny and/or folks who like to entertain. With five bedrooms (three up, one lower and one nonconforming in the basement) there’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. PLUS – there are four indoor gathering areas – the main level living room, a family room just down a few steps and open to the kitchen, a rec room w/ a pool table PLUS another space in the basement perfect for a home theater, home gym or teenager den. Three of the four bathrooms were completely updated and the 4th in the basement is in fine shape.
The modern fixtures and hip color scheme have redefined this 1966 split level home. Where once there was dark wood, dated wallpaper and heavy drapes there are now quality cabinets, recessed lighting, new tile and an overall feeling of spaciousness and light.
The level back yard has mature trees, a deck off the kitchen and patio space accessible via the pool table room. This is a great house for outdoor evening parties as the back yard is on the eastern “cool” side of the house.
The only objection I can see buyers having about 280 Hopi is that it’s on the louder, southern end of the street so there is some road noise from US36. The trade off is there are lovely mountain views from the front yard and front rooms (including the two master suites).
There are sales of updated homes in Frasier Meadows that exceed $1,000,000 so the sellers may very well get their list price. 280 Hopi is definitely a beautiful, move-in ready home!
